Guide/Assistant connections

USING YOUR BUDDY

Assistant connections

Enable your assistant under Connections. Let changes in your local sessions reach your robot.

Codex

  1. Use Connections → Codex → Enable / Repair.
  2. Review and approve the integration trust request shown by Codex.
  3. Start a new local task and check the session in the app.

Claude Code

  1. Use Connections → Claude → Enable / Repair.
  2. Restart any open Claude Code sessions.
  3. Start a new task in the terminal or the desktop app’s local Code tab.

OpenCode

If you use a custom configuration directory, make sure both apps see the same directory.

  1. Use Connections → OpenCode → Enable / Repair.
  2. Fully close and reopen OpenCode.
  3. Check working, permission and question events with a new task.

GitHub Copilot · limited beta

Registration: ~/.copilot/hooks/vibecodinglight.json. If you use COPILOT_HOME, the desktop app must see the same environment variable. Code completion, cloud agents, WSL and remote sessions are excluded.

This beta tracks the main task lifecycle, not permission/question waits or independent background subtasks. Green does not guarantee no user input is pending. CLI and VS Code Copilot/Local profiles require separate real-version validation.

  1. In the new desktop build, use Connections → GitHub Copilot → Enable / Repair.
  2. Check hook activation and workspace trust in Copilot CLI or the local VS Code agent. VibeCodingLight does not change these permissions automatically.
  3. Send a new task, wait for completion and verify that one session moves between working and idle.

Antigravity · limited beta

Global registration uses the vibecodinglight section of ~/.gemini/config/hooks.json. Other entries are preserved; modified or explicitly disabled VibeCodingLight entries are not silently overwritten.

Work is tracked when a model invocation begins. Only Stop with fullyIdle=true switches to idle; background work does not cause premature completion. If the final signal is missing, the session may remain working. An ask_question card turns the light red until answered, then returns to working or idle. General permission and approval prompts are not tracked; the light may stay green while waiting for your approval.

  1. Use Connections → Antigravity → Enable / Repair.
  2. Check that VibeCodingLight is enabled in Antigravity Hooks settings, then start a new task.
  3. Validate working and completion separately in App, IDE or CLI.

Local sessions

These connections are for local sessions running on your computer. Cloud, SSH and WSL sessions are outside this bridge’s scope.

Use the app’s own removal option to disconnect an integration. Do not manually delete other apps’ settings.
