GETTING STARTED
Installation
Install the app, connect the robot and run the color test. No hardware programming or development environment needed.
Before you start
For USB, connect the robot to your computer with your own USB-C data cable. For Bluetooth, use your own USB-C charging cable to connect it to your power bank; no cable to your computer is needed.
Your assistant must already be installed. Alongside Codex, Claude Code and OpenCode, limited beta adapters are available for Copilot and Antigravity. Account requirements and usage terms apply separately.
Windows — one step
Open PowerShell, paste the command below and press Enter. It downloads, verifies and installs the current Windows package.
irm https://www.vibecodinglight.com/install.ps1 | iex- Open VibeCodingLight from the system tray. Check the hidden icons near the clock if needed.
- Connect the robot. If several devices appear, choose the correct connection.
- Run the color test and enable your assistant under Connections.
macOS — one step
Requires Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14 or later. Open Terminal, paste the command below and press Enter. The package is verified and installed in your user Applications folder.
curl -fsSL https://www.vibecodinglight.com/install.sh | bash- Open VibeCodingLight from the menu bar. Connect the robot and run the color test.
- Enable your assistant under Connections. If needed, fully quit and reopen the assistant app or CLI session, then start a new task.
- For ZIP installation, extract the archive and run Install VibeCodingLight.command. Keep it beside VibeCodingLight.app in the same folder.
Power bank + Bluetooth
- Disconnect the robot’s USB cable from your computer and connect the robot to a power bank.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your computer and open VibeCodingLight. Allow Bluetooth access if macOS asks.
- Leave Auto-detect selected under Settings → Device. The app finds and connects to the robot; pairing in system settings first is not required.
- Look for Device connected ✓ and Connection type: Bluetooth. If several robots appear, choose yours, then run the color test.
Start your first session
After Connections → Enable / Repair, complete the trust approval requested by your assistant. Reopen the assistant and start a new task.
The app shows the session once it receives a real event. An already-running, quiet task may need a new event to appear.
