USING YOUR BUDDY

Everyday use

Set it up once. Let your light follow your workflow.

Runs in the background

Closing the window does not quit the app. Reopen it from the Windows system tray or Mac menu bar. Use Quit to close it completely.

While the app is closed, the robot’s light does not update to follow your assistant.

Adjust the brightness

Set the light to suit your desk. In Windows, choose one of the ascending bars under Settings → Light. Your choice is saved without affecting the session list.

The color test checks the connection. After the test, the robot returns to the session status.

Multiple sessions

Sessions from different projects are combined into a single light status. A session waiting for a reply or approval takes priority in red.

If an old entry remains because a closing event was not received, remove that unused session using the app’s remove control.

Update the app

Status logic, effects and assistant integrations live in the desktop app. Install a new app version to update them. Uploading code to the robot is not part of everyday use.

If integration definitions change, use Connections → Repair and restart your assistant. A new trust approval may be required.
